Yes — ChartRead works on any website. The Chrome extension lets you drag a selection box over any candlestick chart on any site. TradingView, Coinbase, Robinhood, Webull, Yahoo Finance — if you can see it on screen, you can scan it.

Pro gives you everything — 300 scans/month, all timeframes (Daily, Weekly, 4H, 1H), multi-timeframe Confluence analysis, entry zone, stop loss & price targets, Trader Playbook, Action Plan decision tree, full scan history, a 50-ticker watchlist, and Paper & Live trading (connect Alpaca, Tradier, or Schwab to execute directly from the scan). There's one paid tier and it includes everything.

Yes, no tricks. Cancel from your Stripe billing portal in 2 clicks and you won't be charged again. You keep full Pro access through the time you've already paid for: on monthly, that's the rest of the month; if you paid for the year, it's the rest of your year. No retention flows and no "are you sure?" emails.

ChartRead is powered by Claude (Anthropic's AI), which handles the visual chart analysis. It's the same model behind Claude.ai — one of the most accurate vision models available. We send it your chart image and ask it to identify patterns, signal, and trading implications based on technical analysis principles.

ChartRead correctly identifies common chart patterns — flags, triangles, head & shoulders, wedges, double tops/bottoms — with high accuracy. That said, no tool predicts the market. Use ChartRead to speed up your pattern reading and form a thesis, not as a standalone buy/sell signal. The Confidence score (Low / Medium / High) helps you gauge how clear-cut the setup is.

Yes — the web app at chartread.ai/app works on any device including iPhone and Android. You can upload a screenshot from your camera roll or take a photo of a chart. The Chrome extension is desktop-only (Chrome/Brave), but the web app covers mobile users fully.

Chart images are sent to our backend for analysis and not stored permanently. We keep a rolling 100-image thumbnail cache (low resolution, ~6KB) for admin review to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is stored with chart images. Your scan history (pattern names, signals) is stored locally in your browser.

After purchase, you'll receive an access code by email. Paste it into the key field on the Scan page (chartread.ai/app) to unlock your plan. If you also use the Chrome extension, paste the same code in the extension's Settings tab. One code works across all your devices (up to 3 at once).

The Chrome extension doesn't currently work on Linux. This is a known Chrome limitation — the screen capture API the extension relies on is blocked by most Linux display servers (X11/Wayland). It's not something we can work around from the extension side. If you're on Linux, use the web app at chartread.ai/app instead — it works on any OS and lets you upload a chart screenshot directly. All the same analysis, entry zones, and AI Lens features are available there.
